Principal's Message

Welcome to Mornington Central Public School, where the focus is on student learning.
Our administration, teachers, and support staff work together to create a caring environment where children can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. We are committed to positive, inclusive learning environments that help every student feel safe, valued, and prepared to pursue opportunities that best support their individual life journeys. At Mornington, we truly believe, we are better together.
We hold high expectations for student learning and behaviour, while also striving to develop good citizens by reinforcing the attributes of good character. It is amazing what we can accomplish when we all work together, and we look forward to the enriching experiences this school year will provide.
Mornington Central currently serves over 190 students from Kindergarten to Grade 8, with a community made up of Low German Mennonite (LGM), David Martin/Independent Old Order Mennonite, Amish, English families and Multilingual learners from around the globe. Recognizing that many families have experienced educational trauma, we work to build trust and ensure that language, culture, and tradition are respected.
The “M Program” provides elementary education tailored for Low German Mennonite and Amish students, supported by onsite Low German translators and additional bus runs with hubbed stops throughout North Perth. We are also proud to host Riverside Secondary School two to three days a week, offering alternate education for students in Grades 9–12.
At Mornington Central Public School, we are committed to providing a learning environment that respects, supports, and values every student.
